The Nutcracker
A beloved tradition in Central Ohio since 1994.
A Tradition of Wonder
The magic begins with a simple wooden doll. As Clara drifts into dreams, her Nutcracker comes to life, whisking her into a world of twinkling snowflakes, daring battles, and the enchanting Land of Sweets.
For more than 30 years, Central Ohio Youth Ballet has brought this classic tale to life with artistry and imagination. Under the choreography of Robert Cole, our youth company presents a rich, layered narrative reminiscent of a professional ballet company, while still capturing the wonder and joy that makes The Nutcracker timeless.
The Nutcracker has become a cherished holiday tradition for dancers, families, and audiences throughout Central Ohio — uniting our community in the spirit of the season.
Come Dance with Us
Every year, auditions are held in late August, and all area dancers ages 8 and up are welcome to participate — no prepared choreography required. Joining the cast is an opportunity to perform on historic stages, grow as a dancer, and be part of a tradition that inspires audiences year after year.
